Vickers
Harry Vickers founded the Vickers Manufacturing Company in Los Angeles in 1921, which was later renamed Vickers Inc. He is considered one of the pioneers of modern hydraulic engineering.
In the 1920s and 1930s, Vickers developed important innovations such as power steering and improved hydraulic pumps and valves.
Over time, the Vickers brand was acquired by various companies and integrated into their portfolios until Vickers Hydraulics was eventually acquired by Eaton Corporation. Today, Vickers is an established brand within Eaton’s hydraulics business.
